Schmidt Electric provided electrical services for the new federal courthouse in Austin. The building is seven-stories, 222,000 square feet, and houses eight courtrooms and 21 holding cells. It serves the Western District of Texas and replaced the existing 1936 Austin U.S. Courthouse, which was moved to Travis County for county judicial space.
