Schmidt Electric provided comprehensive electrical services during the construction of Austin FC Stadium, also known as Q2 Stadium, home to the Major League Soccer expansion team Austin FC.

The 465,000-square-foot stadium has a seating capacity of 20,738 and features five kitchens, 15 concessions, seven food prep (pantry) areas, portable food carts, three clubs, a beer hall, 27 suites, and an outdoor amphitheater.

Our scope of work included:

  • Two, 4000-amp electrical services
  • 1200-amp service for the administration/team store building
  • 600-kilowatt generators for emergency power
  • 380 SB800 Chroma sports lights to light up the pitch
  • Underground and overhead pathways for low voltage network cabling from the event level to the press box
