Manchaca Optimist Ball Fields

We volunteered our electrical expertise for his community sports complex. Manchaca Optimist was started in 1962 by Robert Schmidt and Rex Kitchens and was designed to assist young at-risk boys. 

All of the electrical work for the ballfields was donated by Bobby Schmidt, and Schmidt Electric donated labor, wire, poles, and field lights.

The complex includes eight fields and amenities:

  • Pony field
  • Three Mustang fields
  • Bronco field
  • Three softball fields
  • Two concession stands and restrooms
