Schmidt Electric provided electrical services for this new eight-story low-rise commercial office building with an above-ground parking garage. The 379,000-square-foot building serves as the primary research and development headquarters for National Instruments’ engineering operations.

The project entailed the construction of the building and tenant improvements. The electrical installation included:

  • Three 4,000-amp electrical services
  • Three 3,000-amp bus risers
  • One 1,100-kilowatt emergency generator
  • Two 160-kilowatt UPS modules
  • Raised-floor computer labs
