Schmidt Electric provided comprehensive electrical services for the construction of this five-story, 122,000-square-foot science and engineering facility at the San Marcos campus of Texas State University. It offers programs in civil, electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and industrial engineering. 

The highlight of the building is a huge hands-on workshop called the “Makerspace,” which houses 3D printers, laser cutters, and industrial machining tools that can be used to build anything from racing cars to microchips.
